havent had this beer in years. I think it launched the NEIPA style, but the style has evolved a lot since then that now NEIPAs aren't even that bitter anymore.

That was like proto NE IPA V1. But yeah, I would describe this as dank as well and then chug it

I also think the main reason they had you drink from the can is because the cans tend to get a lot of yeast sediment, especially when you get to the bottom of the can. Having it fresh I never got it, but after a couple months old or so, it tends to get a lot, or at least it used to. It was quite off putting, so I used to make sure when I did pour it, to leave an ounce or two left in the can and just drink the rest from the can. Anyway love the reviews, cheers!

I'd heard so much hype about this beer on other channels, so I tried it at MBCC 17. It fell very flat for me! For me it wasn't the absolutely amazing beer that everyone was making it out to be! It was okay, but it was nothing special in my opinion. I rated it 3.5/5. So that's 70/100 on your scoring system.

I love NEIPAs and was super excited to try this one, but I have to say I was really disappointed. Thin, boozy and way too bitter. So many modern IPAs do this a lot better. This reminded me a lot of Poppels attempts at New England IPAs that never really impressed me. Still fun to try it though.

Surprised you get so much fruitiness on the aroma. I guess I'm so shifted on newer NE IPA. Heady is so obvious that I imagine I could pick it blind.
There's a defined "dank" Alchemist quality for me.
Awesome you guys got cans. Fantastic review!
